Safety and Handling

This device has been tested to comply with IEC standards IEC 6061-1, IEC 6061-1-2 and IEC 6061-11. WESPER is an electrical appliance and safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock or injury, including the following precautions:


Wear And Care:

For the avoidance of doubt, WESPER is not intended to replace any medical diagnosis or treatment recommended to you by your physician. When caring for your WESPER, follow these tips:

  • To clean your WESPER, start by applying a dry microfiber cloth to remove any visible debris or dirt. Should additional cleaning be necessary, dab a microfiber cloth in 70% Isopropyl Alcohol ("Rubbing Alcohol") and apply gently to all outer surfaces of the devices. Allow 5 minutes to air dry.

  • Only place on dry surfaces. Do not place on a surface wet from water or cleaning solvents. Do not place or store the product in an area subject to excess dust.

  • Do not expose your WESPER to direct sunlight for extended periods of time.

  • Do not leave your WESPER near an open flame.

  • Do not place or store the product where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.

  • If you experience any kind of discomfort or notice signs of skin irritation where your WESPER touches your skin, please discontinue use and contact our support team.

  • Do not attempt to disassemble or service your WESPER yourself.

  • Protect your WESPER from any shocks or impacts.

  • Do not expose your WESPER to extremely high temperatures above 104° F (40° C) or low temperatures below 23° F (-5° C).

  • Battery capacity: 150mAh. 60 hours of recording under normal use conditions as indicated.

  • Use only a certified USB power adapter (IEC 62368-1). Recommended specification is 10W / 1A (not included).

  • Power supply should be Limited Power Supply (LPS).

CAUTION: Contains small parts. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not operate this device if it has a damaged cord, plug, cable or housing.


Batteries Precautions:

To reduce the risk of electric shock and to avoid possible risks associated with hazardous voltage, which if not avoided could result in death or serious injuries. Read, understand and follow the following safety instructions:

This product contains a lithium-ion battery. Use only the included wireless charging mat to recharge your patches and the included USB charger cable to charge the pulse oximeter. Do not attempt to charge the device using another wireless charging device. There is a risk of explosion if batteries are not handled in the correct way. The batteries are not designed to be replaced. Damage inflicted on the battery could cause an explosion and/or fire. Do not dismantle, open or shred the battery. Do not expose the battery to heat or fire. Avoid storage in direct sunlight. Do not short-circuit the battery.

FCC Radiation Exposure Statement

This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment and mees the FCC radio frequency (RF) Exposure Guidelines. End users must follow the specific operating instructions for satisfying RF exposure compliance. This transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.


Federal Communications Commission Radio Frequency Interference Statement

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment causes harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  1. Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

  2. Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.

Modifications

Wesper is not responsible for any radio interference caused by unauthorized modifications to this equipment. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by Wesper could void the user’s authority and warranty to operate the equipment.


Silicone Adhesives

WESPER's skin-contacting materials, including patch adhesives and pulse oximeter outer housing and wiring are all biocompatible and ISO10993-compliant per the intended nightly use of the devices. Avoid use if you have any known allergy to silicone. The adhesives have been thoroughly tested and should not cause skin irritation. However, if skin irritation develops or any other symptoms occur, discontinue use and contact us. In case of irritation, wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist. The devices should not be worn on wounded or otherwise not in-tact skin. If eye contact occurs, hold the eye open and immediately rinse with water for at least 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention if soreness or redness persist.
